Default Removing rear brake disc stone guards?

What's the best way to remove them? The fronts are bolted on but the rears seem to be welded. Need to remove them for my new rear brakes.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Drilling is what all the guides recommend. Althought mine were able to be pulled off by hand, and I just filed the sport welds down.

Where abouts are the welds located on the guard?

Thanks

Where it meets the hub or whatver it connects to. Should be pretty easy to see. If you do start to pull the guard off, the point that it won't come off is where the welds are.

Sam: give 'em a rub with a wire brush around the part where they meet the hub. You'll then be able to see the spot welds. Drill out with a sharp drill, mine was 8mm, and then repaint the whole lot with Hammerite black smooth.

When I took mine off bent them over to find the welds then used a hammer and chisel to break them.
