Just got a set of Toyo Proxy's
#1
I have a 205 GTi BTW.
Initial thoughts. £200 all in. Joys of Local independant garages.
Better grip than my P6000s even without run in.
Steering feels lighter, turnin no better though.
Car moves around more on the corners, but has very predictable traction, so it starts to slide early, but the limit at which it will let go is higher and very progressive lift off oversteer (lot less of than with my old tyres).
Balance, same ie very good in dry, will wait till run in before I try them in the wet. Small roundabouts in dry with run off is okay, but not when wet !!
I had been Quoted F1's for £200 as they were on sale at JCT600, but I decided on the Toyo as U Scoobynet guys generally think that the Proxys are more similar to the SO2's than the F1's. And So2 are my first choice but I would have to wait, and they cost £50 more, and after being pulled over for over enthusiastic accelertion, I need some legal rubber asap.

What size did you get?
195-50-15 correct??
I got a quote a while back from demon tweeks for toyo's in that size for (i think) £160 fitted.
Have been wrong before, will probably be wrong in the future aswell.
Phil.
