Default 2 Pot Rear Brakes Classic ?

Putting subaru 2 pot rear brakes onto a 96 WRX.Got a pair of subaru rear calipers not brembo with 290mm discs. But when fitting them the drum part is to big for the handbrake shoes to reach them.I have the calipers, discs and fitting kit from godspeed do i need different shoes ? as i have read a couple of fitting guides and people say the discs should fit on after the edge of the backplate is removed

Thanks

It sounds like you have the type R rear discs as they have a larger handbrake , the discs you need to fit are the 2001 onwards WRX discs

yes thats easiest and most cost effective, or you buy the oversize shoes to fit the 190mm handbrake drum on the disc

Yes thats the cheapest way , my grooved discs to fit are £85 a pair , or the thicker handbrake shoes are £125 a set , but then when the Type R discs need replacing these are also more expensive at £135 a pair , so the WRX rear discs are the option to go for.
I have all these in stock for next day delivery if you need them
Cheers Ian
