i changed the fronts to bembo calipers, but the rears on the car need changing. its a uk 95 classic

i was told that the brembo one are to strong for the car.
but i've seen so many classics with them.

whats best to get, and what sort of price am i looking at.
the car is 317bhp, but may be a little more soon.

I don't think you can have brakes that are too strong, buty it IS possible to have brakes that aren't matched: too strong at the front for the rears, and vice versa.

Since the Brembos are matched, there should be no probs.

There are fitting guides on here plus Ian Godney at Godspeed does a kit.

if you have to brake on say a corner and giving some beens. the rear end is very twichy

Subaru 2 pots should be ok. But whilst you are doing it, spend the extra a get the Brembo's rears on.

Does the standard master cylinder cope with these ok on a classic ?
if you went the Brembo route on the rear you would need the brackets and larger handbrake shoes and discs from my 2001> on rear iirc

If you go the Brembo route you will need Brembo type disks as well, the inner part where the handbrake is is larger on the Brembo's (190mm as opposed to 170mm).

Also you would need thicker handbrake(shoes, atleast that is what we call them in Holland)to make your stock handbrake mechanism work with the Brembo rears.

WRX 2 pot rears are a much easier fit, and I believe them to be more then enough on a classic (which is a good deal lighter then a 2001-on WRX or STI.
