brake shims an copper grease

hi guys im doin my conversion to 4 pots an wondering if these are important as i dont have them an if they are i need some an does anybody know who supplies them. ian is away an he my first choice but does partco etc do them. thanks guys

Shims are to reduce noise so you can do without if you don't mind the possible squeal. If you do want them Alyn at ASPerformance might be able to help. Copper grease can be bought at any motor parts shop/Halfords, better still is the new cera-tec grease made by Mintex which you can mail order from Camskill.

cheers for reply mate. ive just itted my conversion before an dont feel much different to the 2 pots i had before but think it just bedding in time. i will wait for ian godny to get back to me. cheers mate

They should feel decent after only a few miles/stops. Do you know what pads you have as they make a big difference.

yea i bought the group buy offer from ian with grooved discs an kevar pads. i think it just bedding in time. there starting to feel more responsive now
