Caliper Question
assuming you have wheels with the correct clearance then yes the front calipers bolt directly on, although you will have to re-drill the std disc from the later 114.3x5 to 100x5PCD (or use a 2004 or older STi disc)
as for the rears then they dont fit without a lot of messing around and evcen then not with the std STi rear disc.........not worth the hassle IMO
you can fit the earlier GOLD kit if required and paint them black??

as Alyn say's , the rears will fit but you will have to have the calipers lugs machined to fit , you need to machine the pads down , and then they will fit but only on the 290mm 2001 onwards WRX disc , not the 316mm STi disc.
It will be an improvement over your standard brakes , but not as good as fitting the gold calipers and larger discs , we have done a few sets of the black ones to fit your model.

i have the standard brakes on MY95 import and the discs and pads need changing anyway so was thinking of upgrading, if i was to get a hold of some 4 pots off a bugeye or something like that do i need to change the back calipers aswell? it might seem a dumb question but not got much knowledge about brakes.

You wouldn't have to do them , but by fitting the brembo's on the front , the front will nose dive heavily under hard braking , but having a larger rear set up would make the car brake flatter on the road
