Advice needed.

Had a Scoob now for 12 yrs and it's the 1st time I've needed pads for 4 pots. (MY97(with Alcons), P1 with Alcons, now MY00 std)
Have been looking at the EBC Redstuff that are coming in at around £100.
Use on the car is not heavy these days as the std Subaru pads have lasted 4yrs !! . No track use just the occasional spirited drive but no prolonged, heavy use.

What do you recommend ?

Performance Frictions are very good

 

Pagid Blue are good. Wont last 4 years though! LOL.
I Got mine from Alyn at AS Performance which was the cheapest price i had. Again, still not £100 either, a lot more but well worth it. If you got 4 years from OEM pads then why not just buy them again??????

I have the EBC red stuff pads on my car but TBH I won't be getting them next time. The brakes feel very hard with these and are abit dusty but other than that stop the car superbly well.
After being recommended Ferodo DS-2500 brake pads by a reputable garage I'm going to try them next time, Gareth

Just because the original pads have lasted 4 yrs doesn't mean the car doesn't get used as it should. Anyone who ever came on a famous "Exmoor" or "Wales" run will testify. The car just doesn't get used that much and doesn't do track days like the previous ones.

The reason for my question was to see what experience there was with different pads and if they were worth the extra money. I do realise that the only way to dramatically improve the brakes on these cars is the renew the calipers and but on bigger diam' discs.
