Default Which Brake Pads???

Just wondering which brake pads you'll recommend for a bug-eye sti-7,
been looking on the net and seen some black diamond ones for decent price, then came across camskills.co.uk and seen some on there for £35 just wondering has anybody used these?

Did you read this bit..
Standard material pads including shims - For those who only use the EVO for going to and from work and rarely give it a kicking. These WILL fade quite easily under really heavy braking.

That would put me off.I wouldn't skimp on brakes, Mate. Ferodo DS 2500 at the top of the page get my vote.

I'll agree with that too - I've them fitted to my MY05 STI

However, did you read what it said at the bottom

"Customers should be aware that these are a Racing Compound and as such that we do not warranty these pads for use on the road. In otherwords it is YOUR risk to use on the road."

I'd say thats a bit of a bold statement.
They work very well on my car - even from cold

I don't understand how BOB can sell performance friction discs and pads for 250 when the ds2500 pads alone are 180. Am I missing something or is it just an exceptionally good deal from Aztec?

as good as BOB'5 prices are I think you would find that the pads are perfromance frict but disks are not. That is how is reads to me. Still a top deal and BOB is the man when it comes to brakes!

Bit more than £35 though
The DS2500 are good even from cold, but you feel them get better as they heat up.

Another vote for the DS2500.

Don't forget to bed them in properly though.

I have used DS2500's and Performance Frictions (97 compound), and the PF's are much better (IMO)

I agree with Moley that the DS2500's are not as good having used both.
