It's very likely I did mine on a similar aged car recently. One piston on either side seems to get rustier/hotter? and stick much harder. No guide I'm afraid but I just undid the brake hose, blocked up with bluetac to stop the dripped, unbolted caliper, and drained it. Then I removed the pistons carefully with molegrips using a twisting motion - they will only come out if you twist them. Lots of patience and they came out with little damage. Then I pulled the seals out and cleaned everything up. The rust came off the pistons with car polish or metal polish etc. The caliper itself will need cleaning up around each bore near the center (after the inner seal) in order for the pistons to ever slide correctly again. I cleaned the seals as they looked ok and put everything back together with new pads and bleed the system. Some would argue you need new seals and pistons but if they show no damage or pitting they are probably ok. Mine slid in and out fine with hand pressure afterwards.
The main thing I recommend doing (I did on the second caliper after struggling) is to use old brake pads to wedge 3 of the 4 pistons against the disk and use the brake peddle to push the sticking piston most of the way out (do it slowly and carefully). It will make your life so much easier if its stuck really badly. You can cycle round in a fashion helping to push out any stuck pistons otherwise you'll find them very hard to get out with mole grips etc.

Sounds like a dodgy hip !
Could be a bit of play in a wheel bearing , the calipers are fairly easy to do , but need to be taken off and stripped to do them properly , its not just the pistons that end up rusting , the top inside lip on the caliper bore goes rusty as well , so you really need to remove the pistons to check , and correct this , if you need any parts , I can supply you the seal kits for £19.50 per caliper , and stainless steel pistons that dont rust for £15 each or £100 a set , I can also supply you fully reconditioned calipers any colour you want for £195 a pair
Give me a ring if you need any advice , 01656 723060
Cheers Ian
