right then, i have a 2002 sti type uk running 300 bhp plus, just had a new rear roll bar put on along with some BC RM coilovers.
the thing is what tires should i choose out of the 3 i have narrowed it down to.
1; VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA
2; YOKOHAMA PARADA 2
3; TOYO T1R PROXES
the car covers a lot of miles on motorway and normal driving, but also need something for the mad weekend spirited driving as well as everyday use.
also ring trip in september.
thoughts please. cheers
shawn.

VREDESTEIN seem to very popular, although not tried them myself.

Although i can't comment on how good they are i've been looking for new tyres myself, i've read all sorts of reviews from people on here and review sites and the Vredestein come highly reccomended by most. So much so that i've just ordered 4, and i searched and searched for the best deal which i found at Camskill. £363 delivered.

PS that was for 225-40-18.

Parada's are very good in the dry, nothing clever in the wet but i found they don't wear very well (last long) if you like to drive hard.
can't comment on the T1 R's.
The Vredestein's seem to be good overall, with a good price to boot.

I replaced my Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's on the front with Vredesteins.
Mate, get them - they are 10 times better than the Goodyears both in the wet AND dry - the grip is simply phenomenal and the road noise / ride is hardly different - if anything, it's slightly better.
I can now corner harder and faster and the car sticks to the road like glue.
No contest, I'm NEVER going back
