Can you fit 225 45 17 tyres to the fronts while running 215 45 17's on the rears?
Some for sale locally at a very good price but will give a miss if any issues.

the 45 profile part is the aspect ratio of the tyre,
Alot of people think that this means 45mm, it does not,
Its 45% of the tyres section width i.e the 215 part (which is in mm)
If you fit 215/45 on the front and 225/45 on the rear,
your likely to cause damage the the transfer box and difs due to the rolling radius being different,
don't do it in other words lol

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
If the 225's were half worn and the 215's brand new you might have got away with it, but not recommended.

P.S. I tried 215/235 on mine and I could feel the centre diff complaining on the 3 mile run to work.... I cycled next day, till Camskill delivered two more tyres.
