Default Advice needed; New Rear Discs & Pads required, new handbrake shoes needed?

As above really...

Will i need new handbrake shoes?

They look very rusty, and the mechanic who does my work has said that he is concerned once he takes the wheel off, and fits the new discs and pads that he may not be able to get the handbrake shoes back on?

I have never done the rears, but does this sound right guys? I dont want to order them to find they arent needed.

For the cost of new shoes if they have been on a few yrs, it will not hurt to fit new. I just bought and fitted uprated front disk and pads, standard rear disk pads and shoes, And all the back bakes cost less then £100 all in.

I agree with above, you might aswell do them while the rears are off as it's not a big cost and will last you ages.
I found that mine had very uneven wear when I uprated my discs and pads, and one of the retaining clips had rusted through and snapped so needed replacing.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I have priced up the discs, pads, and shoes and its just over 70 quid, which is cheaper than I expected, so i'll just got the lot done in one go.

I take it it isnt a difficult job? Ive done the fronts, but not the rears.
