ap racing rotors+pads
going to be ordering some new rotors for my ap 6 pots in the next few weeks along with some new pads.i was wondering if any of you ap brake owners know of the cheapest place to get the rotors from and if there's any pads that are better than the ds2500's i currently have, fast road use only.
thanks in advance for any replies

Pagid RS4-2-1 are the best pads I've ever run on the road. Excellent feel, good modulation, work from cold, no sign of fading. Get them from Performance Braking in Malvern.
For AP discs not sure if they're the cheapest or not but for the sake of a phone call try BG Developments in Bromsgrove.

PF make replacement discs fo the AP bells, certainly do the 330x28 ones as I have them fitted with RS29 pads - awesome and progressive. Don't know about the 355x32 ones. Alyn at ASPerformance will know. Alyn reckons these are the best you can get.

Just checked the Demon Tweeks catalog and they list PF 355x32 12 bolt disc so looks like you can go this way if you choose.
Whatever you do you will need 2 packs of AP fitting kit (ie new bolts) one for each disc, Alyn can supply these. My old ones had rotted in and I had to beat them out - took ages. BTW allen bolts in these are 3/16" and not a metric size.

no worries mate.i had a sneaking fancy that i may need genuine ap rotors as mine are supposed to be one of the earlier 6 pot kits and have slightly larger bells and shallower pads but still 355mm discs
got a cracking price off alyn for the rotors and bolts too as it happens

Alyn is a star. Anytime I have any brake needs or problems I just call him.
Have fun getting the rotted bolts out of the old discs. I used a a short bit of 5mm bar as a punch and a 4 lb club hammer.
