Default powder coating

Hi guys,

could anyone tell me if they know if my inovit wheels would be suitable for being powder coated..

they have a chrome lip so i'm not too sure if it would work well.

the chrome lip would simply be masked of with alluminium tape or similar for blasting/prep then powder coat applied.

The only thing is they will need to laquer/clear coat the whole wheel to prevent the edge of the powder coat peeling where it meets the chrome rim.

hope that makes sense and is of some help mate

As above - I can't see any reason why they wouldn't be suitable. I'm off to collect a set of wheels that i've had powder coated in about an hour, hoping they're going to look perfect

I'm in the same boat, have wheels with chrome lip but looking to powder coat the whole rim in a gloss or matt black finish.

Any joy with your rims getting powder coated AsianGunner?

Place near me does them for £50-60 per wheel, dependant on color. Flip paint would obviously be more.

Check out thewheelspecialist.co.uk

They offer a drive in drive out service and did a cracking job on my previous Rota's.

Also if you let them know you belong to a car forum/club you shouldl be able to negioate a big discount.
