Needed to grab attention with the title Regarding a recent recommendation for CAS coatings i'm really interested in getting a spare set of wheels done. I've never seen a powdercoated set of alloys and am not familiar with the process - can someone help me out here?

I presume the coating is matt and roughened? Is it usually lacquered? If it is lacquered will this give a smooth finish and protect the powder coat?

How easily damaged is a powder coated wheel? i.e. does it chip like thick paint?

Finally, yep you guessed it: PICS PLEASE - as detailed as possible, especially if done at CAS as this is where i'll be taking my wheels
