Default HELP brakes

hi im having a major problem with my brakes at the mo. when im hit high speeds my brake pedal goes rock hard and when i go to press the brake, it doesnt stop just drags me across the road. but as soon as i do press the brake and take my foot of it goes bk to normal. ive also had my abs light come on which i took it to my local subaru garage to do a diagnostic test and they said everything is A ok.
has any1 else had this problem or know what it could be please.

what model car do you have? plus the year, plus the type of brakes fitted to the car (2 pots, subaru 4 pots with the subaru writing on them or brembo 4 pots?)

Could be a iffy master cylinder if ur pedal is going hard, or there could be a leaky vaccum pipe.

quite possibly the "non-return" valve in the vacum pipe from the manifold to the servo has failed............

right got back from subaru today they checked over my brakes again and they said its my n/s/f ABS sensor, now i can understand that could be the reason for my ABS light coming on but would that really affect my brake pedal going hard as soon as i hit high speeds and loosing half of my braking power. i said this to them and they said we wont know till we change the sensor. could this be really possible?

Could be. If the system thinks the wheel is locking (dodgy sensor) then the ABS pump will cut in and could make the pedal feel hard. Just a guess.
