offset needed on brembos

Default offset needed on brembos

what size offset on a set a wheels do i need so i can fit some brembos to my classic my99

got some brembos but they dont fit over my 18s

so just wondering what size i will need if i decide to buy some new wheels

its not the offset but the style/design of the wheels thats the issue........

there the wheels i have there 18s and they dont fit over the brembos so when i choose some new ones how do i know there gonna fit

If you wanna keep your current wheels, get some hubcentric spacers and longer wheel studs. Not sure what size you'll need.
Or get some STi wheels off a newage.

hi m8 you need a 53 offset for brembos, stay away from spacers if possible geo

yea looked down the spacers route but dont fancy them so its new wheels or get rid of the brembos


so are you saying i can only use newage wheels ??

Its all design dependent, I have 7.5 x 17 Speedline Corse wheels with an ET 48. Massive clearence around the caliper.

No. Only for OEM wheels will they have to be STI ones.

no many companies make wheels with 53 offset to clear brembos bud geo

I have just checked my old whhels in the garage

they are 17" speedlines its ays on the back 17x7jj and ET52 offset

will these fit ??

Its all to do with spoke design.

post a pic someone may already be using them?

I have 17 inch rota gra's and they clear the brembo calipers on my car no problem, view my scooby for pics.

I am running 18" GRA's over Brembo's.... the GRA is designed to fit over them that's odd, what discs are you using ?

If your interested i will have a set of 17" BBS magnesium wheels available shortly. They were removed from a 2003 JDM sti. The are 5x100 pcd so they will fit classic shape imprezas. These wheels were an optional extra on JDM cars as far as i know.

They look very similar to the alloys as fiited to the cars with 5x114 pcd (2005 onwards 10 spoke)

They dont come with tyres - even if they did the 235's fitted to a JDM car are way to wide for a classic.
