Default Noisey brakes after fitting K-sports

I'm not the best mechanic in the world, but I fitted the 8-pot K-sport 330mm bbk last night and they are very noisey, sounds like a scraping noise is coming from them. Loud in a straight line and louder when cornering, any ideas?

The discs are centred with equal space for the pads etc.

I had the Godspeed 3350mm kit before these on the car for 5 yrs without any issues, just wondering what I've missed out?

Apart from that, they feel great!!!

is it from both sides? you could have a stone stuck in there. this would also be louder when you corner. all it takes is a small bit of grit on the pad. maybe worth removing and having a quick butchers. only about 30-45 mins.
thats what it sounds like to me

Ive got these fitted, they are great especially when they get hot.

Not sure if the discs are directional, grooves facing in the correct direction.

Maybe the pads, they are the K-sport standard ones, I hope the discs are on the right way round!! I'll post a pic later.

i believe on the k sports the grooves face forward(the top of the groove hits the pad first in direction of travel)

Paul ,

Having the disc on the wrong way won't cause that noise but you might be lucky and move somthing to stop the noise.

They should only require 1 x 1mm spacer to make them central

Cheers Chris, only 1 spacer used to centre. I'll swap them tonight.

No the grooves going the wrong way wont make any noises , if your getting a scraping noise it sounds like metal to metal contact , make sure the disc isn't rubbing on the calipers , or disc rubbing on the hubs / backplate / balljoints
Cheers Ian

Removed the back plate and all seems fine, the discs are on the right way looking at the instruction sheet and the K-sport site's pics (unless i'm going cross eyed!).

Just taking the easy and beding in gently...

Thanks for the help.
