What brakes are best???????
I have a 54 plate wrx with the standard for pot calipers but really want a good set up for track and road use, i keep looking at the sti brembos but do i really need them? or would i get away with a good pad and disc on my standard wrx calipers?

AP racing seem to be the best but also come in at being the most expensive (by a mile lol) K sport seem to be a popular choice now, the Zen impreza uses them on there trackcar and that stops well
Zen Performance - The Car
theres a few different makes doing the rounds just now but if i was looking for another set i would probably go for the k sports

From what I've seen on here, it totally depends on budget.
If you want to stick with the original calipers, I know Ian at Godspeed offers several sets of replacement discs, some guaranteed against warping even with track use, which is a pretty damned good sign of their durability if you ask me).
Other than that Á¢ïÐ is right - Brembos, K-Sport, AP Racing, with the latter being the most respected from what I've heard, hence the price lol.

If you don't want to spend mega money and/or want to keep the std calipers, I would have a look a Ian's group buy offer on godspeedbrakes grooved discs at £89 and get some decent pads (Pagid or Ferodo). He's offering Mintex Extremes at £65 which are about half the price of these.
