Default Type R rear brakes.

My 1997 Sti Type r needs pads and discs ,the calipers are sliding single pots.
Can somebody give me info on which pads and discs will, will the standard pads be ok.
I know the discs are 290mm will the newage rear discs fit.
Thanks in advance.

if you have the sliding calipers fitted then the pre'98 pads will fit just the same however the rear discs are a 'one-off' fitment as they are only a solid disc but 290mm with 190mm h/brake...............

only genuine Subaru i'm afraid

Try Ian @ Godspeed as i've just ordered a set of rears for my 98 STi Type R from him.

Decent price and excellent service.

Cheers
