Default Brake problem possibly

Just fitted new brakes and took the scoob out and just took it steady round the block about 2 miles
and when i got back the near side front was warm and smoking
Should i be worried or is this just because they are new as i dont want to damage anything
If this is a problem would anyone be able to come and have a look at it for me.
I will pay for the service of anyone who can please please help me out.

Many thanks paul.

What brakes have you fitted? Onto what car? What MY?
New, refurbed, straight off a scrappped car, bought secondhand, etc?
What discs/pads are you using?
HOW warm was it? Just, or hot, or too hot to touch?
How much smoke? Where did the smoke appear to be coming from?

My car is a uk spec 2005 wrx
i have put on brand new godspeed performance grooved discs on all round
Brand new ebc yellow stuff pads all round
hot to touch but the drivers side was the same
and smoke looked like it was coming from the caliper on the near side only.

Hope this is of some help.

Could be a seized caliper, but that would have made one side much hotter than the other.

Could be grease or fluid coming off the caliper/wheel/disc.

If you're worried, get it checked out, you don't get many chances with brakes
