Default Copper grease on Brake Discs and hubs

i have always used copper grease on the backs of brake pads, but someone has told me its a good idea to put them on the mounting surfaces of discs to hubs and wheels to discs, to stop everything seizing.I would have thought it may lead the discs to runout and cause vibration etc,

Is this a good idea or not?

I put all my pads in dry - is there any value in using copper slip? I am guessing the ali pistons wont fuse to the back of the pads?

do ford not supply there discs with no fixing screws, which must mean they want their discs to stick to the hubs, if they did'nt you would have some fun changing a wheel at night!

It may stop a disc from completely falling off the hub, but it won't stop a disc from spinning

Not unless they squeal. The purpose of putting copperslip on the back of pads where they are in contact with the face of the piston is to damp vibration which can be the cause of squeal during light braking.

No, but the studs will

Subaru discs have no fixing screws too.

Also its nice 2 clean the surfaces's of the caliper before fitting new pads, helps the slid better, AND put some copper slip on the edges that slide on the caliper too, for the same reason.
