Try this Drifting Tools and Resources | Driftworks | Wheel Offset Calculator should help you figure it out.

The offset is the distance from the centre of the wheel to where the hub face is.

Offset affects the feel of the steering and brake clearance.... Mine are 45 ET, to clear my Brembo's on a new-age STI.
On my car a 53 offset would mean that my 8" rim would force the tyre very close to the strut !

So a narrow rim 7.5" can be fitted with a 53 mm offset, but an 8" rim needs a 45mm offset.

P.S. pump these numbers into the calculator gives :-

3mm more clearance at the strut, and outside edge sticks out 12mm further.

In what way (worse/better) does the steering feel gets affected by altering (increasing/decreasing) the offset? Reducing the offset makes the steering better or worse?
I have posted a similar question here but would like to know about the effect of altering the offset to the steering: https://www.scoobynet.com/wheels-tyr...se-wheels.html
In the end I decided to go for 7.5x17 ET53 Sti wheels as Prodrive recommends (for my 07 wagon)
