is it normal for new discs n pads to rub a bit when first put on? i've noticed that the rear off side is doing it most and is worse when going around corners. the car in question is a MY99 u.k, grooved standard size discs and ferrodo 2500 pads.
any thoughts? the above was fitted by a local garage, no copper grease was used.

If it's the rears that are rubbing, it could be that it's the handbrake shoes badly adjusted, however, if it does it more on bends, first up check the wheel nuts asap.... and secondly, it could be the wheels bearing allowing the wheel and disc assembly to move slightly.....
thanks Ron, a few things to chew over. i will be taking it back for a further checkup then. thanks.

Check the wheels nuts first, just in case... you wouldn;t want the wheel to fall off on the way there.... or any other time come to that..LOL!!
its almost too mad to even contemplate, seeing your own wheel come scuttling in front of you whilst on a local bypass?? lol.
on a serious note, yep, i'll check m8.

It happened to me, thankfully not on the scoob, it happened in slow lotion.... i found all the wheel nuts within 20ft.... i reckon someone had tried to nick the wheels and got disturbed..... anyway, i hope you get it sorted...!!
