Default STI brakes onto WRX

This may have been raised before so here we go again.

I have a bugeye WRX and have been offered a full set (f&r) of bugeye STI brakes, is it just a straight swap or not?

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi
Yes the front and rear brakes will bolt straight on , but for the rears you will need the thicker handbrake shoes we have for the handbrake to work , they are £125 a set plus £10 P&P.

You need to make sure that the front calipers dont foul on your spokes , as the brembo discs dont have much offset , and with the calipers being thicker , they dont clear all wheels

Cheers Ian

You will need to upgrade your wheels if you have the standard WRX ones on as you will have problems putting your wheels back on (ie they wont fit due to the larger size of the caliper).

I've got a set of standard STi alloys in pewtery colour with four as new F1's (couple of hundred miles only) if you need them. Only for sale as I needed 18's to clear my new brakes. Typical that I decided to upgrade about a week after getting new tyres.....

These wheels were standard off a MY04 STi with brembos so have the right pcd for your car and definetely clear the calipers. The wheels are in good'ish condition, not fantastic, couple of curb marks, couple of marks on the spokes.

PM if interested and I can email some photies and we can talk prices.
