Default stoptech or scoobyclinic 6pots

trying to decide on which to go for
Stoptech are proven and scoobyclinic havn't been reviewed yet.
Also i have 17" wheels which are new so i am keeping these.

Anyone got any opinions on these as i am gonna get it done as soon as i have decided.

I had a look at both before deciding on the AP 6pots myself. I think most would recommend the AP's (certainly did when I asked ). Getting mine fitted tomorrow

Have you considered the AP's?

If its on a basic WRX, forget StopTech. I can give you enough horror info to last you a lifetime. I am only a rare case but even so, i think they are sh1te.
I am having some good help now from some ppl from StopTech via a garage in Milton Keynes but i wish i had spent my money elsewhere.

I am installing a set of 332 * 32mm rotors and 4 pot calipers from StopTech right now on my MY00 UK Classic.

The only major problem I have right now is my wheels dont fit! I have Prodrive 17" * 7J ET52 PCD 5 * 100 and they will only fit by adding two 3mm spacers. They will fit with one 3mm spacer, but only give <1mm gap between the wheel spokes and the face of the caliper, which wont be enough when the caliper heats up. As I use the car for trackdays only, this is a concern.

Am looking at keeping with 17" wheels, as I have just bought new Yoko tyres for my Prodrive set. I think the problem is more with the design of the wheel, ie spokes, other than offset, altough if offset is say ET45, onw would assume the spokes are further out anyway.

Very annoying as I need to "borrow" a wheel to make sure it fits first other than ordering only via specs only from a web site.

Just some advice - do use the template StopTech advise, I did not and am a bit stuck. Just hope the upgrade is worth it!

Maccers the upgrade should be worth it. There are enough ppl using em. Including some of the top modders on the shoot outs and stuff.
I just got the **** set! LOL.

I agree, I bought a set of these on stockcar's recommendation & was not disappointed, they are a similar design to AP's which means they use the same pads & rotor at almost £500 cheaper including all 4 Goodridge lines, bargain

See here: KAD : Subaru Brake Upgrades

Its just something we are thinking of doing to raise awareness of the KSport brand, do a group buy with a generous discount. I want to get the kits out on the market so people get to see how effective they are in comparison to other options.

K-Sport. Suspension, Alignment Components and Motorsport Accessories

They are already selling very well for Skylines, 200SXs, Evos and Imprezas but I dont see huge numbers of people on Scoobynet with them hence the potential deal.

Anyone interested in a kit at that money? Personally I think youd youd be absolutely nuts not to be, thats a steal. If theres interest then Ill sort a GB. We can also do 356mm kits at £799 in a reasobaly sized GB.

We can do either end for the same money if we go ahead with the buy So £684 for 330mm front OR rear and £799 for 356mm front OR rear.

We have just had front 380mm 12 pots land but theyre more for the bling boys than the serious performance enthusiast.

I may be interested if the price stays at that mark. Are they any good or is it worth paying what i call 'daft' money for APs? Are APs worth paying the extra for?

I know that we personally (i.e. Team Apex) have done in excess of 50 track days and competition events tesrting and developing the kits so you are sure the KSport products is upto scratch.

I have run AP brakes before so am in a good position to be able to compare the two.

We dont fit but we have a local Subaru and Jap performance specialist who is more than capable of installing them for you

We are building a bit of a monster Nissan S14 with fully seam welded shell, QUaiffe 6 speed sequential gearbox, Tomei Phase 4 engine, triple plate clutch, Trust T78 turbo kit, Motec management, air jacks etc. It runs no bushes, every joint is a bearing or solid now. It will be a monster and is being built as a race car with a number plate.

The car is being built as a no holds barred vehicle, no corners cut.

Its a long term project and I bought the brakes for it before we started distributing KSport. I bought AP strap drive 355mm 6 pot front brake kit and 4 pot 330mm rear kit. Im so convinced by the performance of the KSport brakes that Im selling the APs and fitting KSport instead. I dont believe the APs are worth the money in comparison so Ill use the saving to buy more parts for the car.

We have run 356mm under 17" Ultralites so I doubt youll have an issue with 18s
