Default REPLACING CALIPER

hi, new to the forum. Have owned a standard 1997 GL 2L wagon for the last year & was recently quoted £300 including fitting for one caliper!!! Garage told me it is a one pot caliper & can only supplied directly from subaru.

Does anyone know if I can fit the calipers & discs form a turbo onto the GL?
cheers

I suspect you could, but sadly the only real way of knowing would be to do it, it's not a question that gets asked very often!!

yes all the Impreza turbo brakes will fit, even the MY05 onwards brembo's if you have the discs redrilled to suit your stud pattern

I can recondition your caliper for £85 if you want to keep it standard
Cheers Ian

Thumbs up CALIPER REPLACEMENT

hi, thanks for the info. Good to know for when I upgrade. A friend of a friend who happens to be a mechanic had a look at it yesterday & cleaned it up & it seems to have done the trick! Thanks for the offer of the reconditioned caliper, I'll keep it in mind if I have any more problems.
cheers
