Yep thats me who just won the 2007 Time Attack NA class in the DC2 and I have a Subaru for road and track day use as well.
Dixcel is a new brand in Japan, only 4 years old but they are already level up with Endless and Project Mu in Japan mainly because of there quality. They used to own by AP racing but they are now on there own. Also they are covered over 95% of cars and caliper in the world included all aftermarket disk and pad.
There Type Z Carbon pad work from 0-850 degree, basically you can use them to race or for normal road use and I can guarantee you those pad will never fade no matter how hard you try. Its always Sharp and strong.
R01 Carbon pad is what i use to race they work from 0-900 degree but compound is much harder and they are use in Japanese GT300 and 500 champion car. They are the most stable pad in the world apart from F1 brake. And other thing is they use less steel in the pad so it won't store as much heat inside the pad unlike the others. Its so rare to see this pad go over 800 degree even in 24 hrs races. This is not recommaned for road use as when they are under 200degree the compound of the pad is too hard which will kill the disk quick.
Disk they have -
Plain disk - Use in Japanese N1 race car
Slot disk
Heated Plain or Slot disk
FCR Carbon Plain or Slot disk - Use in Japanese GT300 and 500
For the disk, on the subaru fitment they have some special made disk called DAV which have holes around the bell for cooling use.
I have seen alot of problem with other brake pad, they perform great but temp usually get too high which will melt the piston seals or warped the caliper after 2 races. With the Dixcel pad you will never see this problem.
For more info please see www.apbrake.com
Hopes that help
