Default sti brembos

Just after a little advice, I have a 2003 WRX, I was looking at the godspeed big disc kit, but after consideration I can upgrade to sti brembos and get a set of sti wheels for not a lot more if I leave out the backs,
would the front brembos with standard WRX rear brakes be ok or would the balance be upset, although with the godspeed kit would probably be similar, I was thinking of just painting the rear calipers gold to match, as I really want better brakes before I do any performance mods as I feel they need improving,
Also my car has new rear discs and pads before I bought it so they are in good condition.
any advice welcomed.

Darren

Just do the fronts mate and get some new pads all round like EBC Yellows. New rear pads aren't expensive and the EBC Yellows work best as a new set of four. I had them on my WRX and they are superb. I bought a set of brembos for the front which I didn't get round to fitting before I traded it in, but I sold them on to someone with a WR300 WRX who was just changing the fronts. Painting the rears to match was all I was going to do.

thanks for that, I will look around for what I need and start collecting stuff, have a prodrive backbox to pick up this week so the modding has begun, any idea of the best paint to use on the rears to match the brembo fronts,

Thanks again
