Nobody seems to do any favours on these.

Last time I asked my local Bush Tyres (Beverley) said they could do 225/40/18 at £156 all in. Camskill are nearer £170 mail order (ie plus fitting). I'm tempted to try the Hankook RS2 from Camskill 225/40/18 £99, or 225/45/17 £79. Must last longer than R888s at Elvington.

I got the 888's for my old Pug from here Tyres online @ Blackcircles.com: car tyres, 4x4 tyres and motorbike tyres

Although saying that, most places seem to match them like for like these days.

Rik, What size did you get for £565. BTW be very careful in the wet, R888s are OK in damp conditions but will aquaplane alarmingly on any really wet surface.
