Question

Although they are clean at the moment there will obviosly be a time when all the break dust,cr@p and salt will take their toll. Any advice for a good product. I've tried Autoglem in the past and wasn't that impressed.

I use 'wonder wheels' too, get yourself a tooth brush to scrub the rims in all the corners, leave for a few mins then wash off with normal car shampoo to avoid leaving any residue, give 'em a bity of a shammy and hey presto.

I use Wonder Wheels on my P1 wheels also, typically it seems to be the most expensive cleaner out there but in my opinion is worth every penny. £9-99 for a litre in Halfords but noticed it in Homebase last week for £7-50 a litre.
Word of warning!..... if you have any cuts on your hands wear gloves, strange burning sensation develops after a few mins otherwise.

Halfords also do a 'non-acidic wheel cleaner' -- anyone tried this?

I have used a company called DeLawRoss for a few years now.
I have the Teflon protection & can definately say that I have never known a product like it for the money. A scooby is classed as a B so costs £100.00 for the whole car including the wheels (not sure if you can have whells done separately).

I have used various polishing products but nothing yet has matched the performance of the Teflon protection. Some people might think it expensive but the results are just stunning.
