I have the reds, but i'm quite easy on brakes. I have had them fading when i have pushed them hard though. Yellows may be the choice for you

I have yellow's in my 330mm ap 6 pots and they are awfull !! I thought that
i would give them a go as they were only 75 quid as apposed for 200 quid for ferrodo. I honestly wish i hadn't of bothered they fade far to quickly even on the road as soon as you really start to work them hard.I can't wait to run them down a bit more so that i can change them for something descent.
Also last time i made this statement i had some EBC brand fanatic keep p messaging me asking e stupid question's like when was the last time i changed my fluid ,am i using braided hoses when was the last time the brakes were bled, are you running the same compound pad in the rears and all that sort of thing. Looking for any reason he could find to excuse the poor performance.
So for the record i run

brand new AP DOT 5.5 FLUID
AP 6 POT calipers
AP 330 mm grooved rotors
Braided Hoses
Yellow stuff rear pads

Rant over LOL

Welcome to your opinion mate, but up untill recently ive been running yellows all round on my STI brembos.

Really liked them, work well enough from cold and enjoyed Snetterton and a ring trip no problems.

I think yellowstuff will last a bit longer but probably take a little while to get up to 100% working temperature, im leaning towards redstuff because of the cold performance and lack of dust!!
Keep the opinions coming guys im still not sure what to choose !

Mate trust me when i say you will have loads of cold performance from the yellows.

So many people try and scaremonger you into thinking your car wont stop from cold.. it does and does very well. Only they get even better as they heat up thats all.

There is no "soft or hard" yellow compounds anymore. If memory serves me this ended 18 to 24 months ago.

I am currently on 1793 which have been replaced by 1846.
