hey guys,

got an 03 spec-c, and have picked up some STI rims for track day use.

are 215/45/17's suitable for these standard STI rims?

or are they too skinny?

Supposed to be 225/45/17 for STi rims, 215s will fit this 7.5" rim OK. Presume the 215s came with the rims, can't imagine any real probs for track day as speedo gearing doesn't matter. Load rating will be slightly lower and prob a good idea to use fairly high tyre pressures. My 03STi rubs slightly on 225s at the back on track so at least you won't have that problem. Anway you'll wear them out pretty quick on track and then you can get some 225s.

 

ok, i managed to get the tyres cheap, but kinda didnt check the sizes before i bought them! silly me!
