Fitting braided hoses this weekend

Default Fitting braided hoses this weekend

Any tips or advice?

I bought them on a group buy last year. Was going to attempt them when I has the calipers painted up before, but the nuts on the standard lines seemed a bit tight, and I didn't want to risk breaking them.
I heard someone mention recently about using a brake line spanner, is it likely to help that much over a standard one?

It could do, a brake line spanner has 5 sides i think, instead of just two.... my advise would be this...

Do one corner at a time, jack up and remove wheel, axle stands are a must!!
Clamp the old pipe near to the bodywork end, then remove it from the caliper and strut, fit the new pipe onto the caliper and strut, then, 'crack' the seal on the hard metal-rubber pipe, then fairly quickly swap the old pipe for the new one, once done, bleed that wheel, and move onto the next one....

Thanks for the advice, RON.
It was going to be a weather permitting job, and the weather won.
I got the brakeline spanner from halfords, just waiting for the rain to stop now.

I don't blame you.... 'if' the brake line spanner fails, then get a pair of molegrips, get them really tight, and that usually works..... it's the last resort though!

alright m8, i did mine today.
rear first:
first thing to do is use a flat spanner and wedge out the 2 clips u can see.
Once the clip is out the line can be lifted up a little and u can use a 17mm spanner to hold the line in place and unscrew using 10mm brakeline spanner. The caliper bolt just use 12mm socket.

front: do the same as rear, centre bolt is 12mm or 13mm socket.

took me 2-3 hours inc cleaning and greasing the nuts.
