WHEEL DOWNSIZING.....???
Having fitted 18"s on my 07 wrx i am now considering returning to the original 17"s wheel an tyre set up as i feel i have lost a lot of ride quality... ride quality was the reason i bought the car over the sti for every day driving on poxy irish roads...has any body else had this kind of dilemma its driving me nuts after spending so much money already..
any help would be very much welcomed.....

I know it's a different car, but I drive a lot of new Mondeos (well someone has to) and the 'X' models have 18" wheels and the ride and tramlining is awful compared to the standard 17"s. My mate also said the same when he fitted 18"s to his new Accord and regrets it.
For this reason, I'm sticking to 17"s even if Prodrive recommend 18"s.
You could always sell your new wheels to get some of your cash back (if you've still got the old ones...)

i have 18" speedline turinis in anthracite with michelin pilot sports in 225 40 18 and they look the bomb on my my07 wrx sl in urban grey but.......
i am not convinced that it feels like it did when i test drove it with the original 17"s on it... i still have the original wheels but i thought they looked to small so hence the 18"s...i guess i will give it a few more weeks before i make my final decision... please let me be wrong....
