Default Problem with Alloys

Evening Gents.

I have an 03 STi and basicly i can hardly find a wheel to fit my car.

Went over to a few alloy wheel places and they both say that as the STi has the Brembos this seriously limits my choice of wheels.
I dont quite understand what Offset is, what is the offset i require ?

I am looking for a set of 18" alloys.
Can any one tell me if i am correct in thinking the tyre size i want is eather
225x40x18 or 225x45x18

And any decent place to find wheels to fit my car would be Fantastic!

Thanks in advance.

Try these lot

Subaru New Wheels & Tyres version 2 :EROL

styling exterior wheels

Wheels and Tyres:Wheels and Tyres: Ultralite ES941 Wheels [ULTRALITE] - £659.99

ScoobyBits | Online Shop - Wheels

And yes you'll be wanting 225/40/18 tyres.

Offset:

Subaru's have a fairly high offset of around ET53/55 which means more the wheel sits closer to the inner wheel arch.

Sometimes the offset will be correct but spoke design won't be therefore not clear calipers.

8x18 Speedline Turini's have an offset of ET48 and will clear Brembo's no problem.
