Anyone fitted 6 pot AP kit to MY01, as I have problems due to scraping when turned near full lock. Mounting block touching disc as per garage. Any safe mod or solution.

Yes, on mine. No problems whatsoever (apart from tailgaters nearly ending up in the boot).

IIRC, the mounting brackets have to be test mounted first to get the caliper/disc clearance right then the kit can be final fitted and all bolts Loctited. It may be yours was not mounted correctly. Who supplied/fitted them? (If you don't want to post this on the board, email me offline).

That's nothing to do with your brakes m8, that's when you select neutral instead of a forward gear

Apologies, back to seriousness......

Thanks Dave. I will tell garage before they start grinding block down to dust.

Tezza, just had a thought - if it only scrapes on or near full lock, it might be a loose wheel bearing allowing movement when the wheel is loaded up. Having said this, it still sounds like a fitting fault as the caliper bracket shouldn't be this near the disc anyway.

My car will be at ScoobySport tomorrow, if there's a ramp free i'll stick it on there and see how much clearance there is on mine for comparison. If I have time, i'll take the digi camera and take a snap of the mount for you.

Look forward to seeing pic, but have been told by AP that kit never intended for MY01. But AP are going to mill mounting block to fit, guess you got lucky with yours. Can't wait to get car back plus also getting prodrive springs which should help stop uk300 looking like 4*4 offroaded.

Tezza
The off the shelf AP kit may not be intended for the MY01, but ScoobySport's kit is designed for it.....

Unfortunately due to a VERY busy weekend I didn't get the chance to get a wheel off mine and check the clearance, and won't see the car in daylight again until next Saturday
