Question

Just wondering if anyone has sorted their handbrake travel.

To engage my handbrake you have to lift it quite high - probably above 50 degrees.

Is this easy to make the travel a lot less?

If so, how would I go about it - at the lever end or ??

Any help of info is greatly appreciated.

Johny.

There are adjusters for the rear drum assembly on the rear hubs. I believe you have to remove a rubber grommet, and then it's easy to turn the adjusters with a suitable screwdriver. Not sure which direction tightens, and which direction loosens. My dealer adjusts mine as part of every service.

Cheers John,

I might get a chance over the w-end to have a peek or a fumble - haven't really looked under the back of the car much at all.

Theres an aduster on the back of the lever. You'll need 2x10mm spanners (I think??? could be 12mm though)
May need to take the rear lever suround trim, off first though!!

Iain,

Cheers for that as well. Might try that first at the w-end 'cos it'll probably be easier.

Iain,

Got around to trying that last night. The two nuts on the back of the lever were slightly odd to get - at first. But got it sorted anyway! Only took about 10 mins.

Ta very much!
