my WRX jap import needs a new piston in a rear caliper
...the current one is corroded and needs replacing

can anyone confirm if the brakes are identical to UK spec? - in which case I can get one from my local dealer

If you have the single pot slding callipers on the rear then the UK is the same. The only thing to watch out for is that there are 2 types of single pot calliper. One for solid discs and one for vented. Either way, this is the same for JDM and UK on the classics.
