Default grooved discs

recently fitted grooved discs and red stuff pads, they seem quite noisy when slowing does it matter which way the grooves on the disc point ie.from hub with groove angled to rear of car or from hub angled to the front when viewed at top of disc

As I understand it grooved discs are sided, check the website to see if it has fitting instructions.

Wink

Pretty sure that the grooves should point towards the REAR of the car, when viewed from the side, looking at the top of the disc:

Grooved discs are known to squeal. Took my squealing grooved discs off and put solid ones one, no noise.

I've got grooved and drilled front, and grooved at the back and neither have ever squealed.

If you brake with the front window open, you can just about hear the grooves, they make a sort of buzzing sound, very low and low-pitched.

Default grooved discs

it is not a squeel on them it starts off like a low humming noise and then gets very loud like a drumming noise
i think it might be the rough layer on the red stuff pads that are for cleaning up old discs see how it goes with a few more miles on them
