Has anybody fitted anything other than Pzeros on 18" wheels. I know Pzeros are supposedly not the greatest, but will other brands in the same size rub on the arches.

Any comments appreciated

I've heard of people fitting Toyos, Bridgestone S02s and S03s, and also Yokohama AVS Sports - but they are probably best to comment themselves.

The Yokos are excellent in the dry, but not as good as the Toyos or S02s/S03s in the wet.

Hello mate

The PZero's I had on my 18 inch wheels on my P1 split after 4k miles, I have replaced them with a set of SO2's and the wet and dry grip has been much improved. I check my arches regular and have never had any problems. I have never had anyone in the back of the P1 and only use the boot for my laptop etc.

I thought about Toyo's and Goodyears but the SO2's are in my opinion that little bit better.

I hope this helps and anymore questions you can mail me offline if you wish.

Cheers

Phil.

Hi

Have just fitted a full set of 225/35ZR18 Yokohama AVS this week. I will say, they seem very good indeed.

The ride quality has improved a great deal and there seems to be much less road noise. I would say the improved ride helps with the driveability of the car.

I also like the fact that there seems to be a little more meat on the sidewalls, which will hopefully protect the rims.

Regards
Kurt

Thumbs up

I have T1S's on my 18's, 225/35/18 as good as ever, wet grip is fine, not been much dry weather to determine dry grip levels as yet.

Thumbs down

Having had 225 x 35 x 18's in Bridgestone....Yoko's and Goodyear's all of them can catch the arches when either cornering hard or weighted down.....I've just gone to Toyo's again but in 215's !!!

Just a thought....not a problem on imports due to them having no arch liner.....mind you Mike drives his like a wuss
