hey,

is there much difference between toyo t1r, the eagle f1, or the yokohama parada tyre? -ot a huge amount price difference.
i want something thats good in both the wet and the dry!
(nearly got through my t1s).

any suggestions??

I have Toyo T1R's... great in both wet and dry. Wearing well too... 6mm left after 7000 miles!

Corradoboy / frayz - whats the wear rate like on the Vredestein UltraC 's? Considering I've done 19K hardish miles on my Brig RE050's and still got 3 mm or so left - apart from nicely rounded shoulders on them ?

I've had T1R's really good, better wearing than T1S's, but currently have Michelin pilot sport 2's and they're the best by far, but as ever, more expensive

I have Parada Spec 2 on mine and they are superb in the dry and O.K in the wet, they are a nightmare on greasy roads, the wear rate is astonishing as well, mine were new 4000 miles agon and i have got about 4mm left
I drive quite hard and the car is 300+ Hp
I had F1's on my last car and could go almost as quick in the wet as i could in the dry superb tyre and a good wear rate, just a bit pricey !
Had Toyo on my Integrale and they were a very good all round tyre, I will be buying them next time round as well !

 

I think frayz has just fitted them so can't really comment, and my experience is based on a mate who ran them for a year or two. They were to be my next tyre until I sold the Scoob IIRC my mate got 20k out of his, and he certainly wasn't a slouch with over 300bhp and a very quick driver. He'd had T1S's and Prelli P-Zero Nero prior and he rated them much higher than both for both wet and dry.

good tyre, nothing will ever touch the REO70 for dry grip but the pilots are a very good all rounder much on a par with the F1's on yours, but maybe a little better in greasy damp.

personally i'd go for whichever you could find cheapest as you'd be happy with either

one downside is the pilots look ****. far too rounded on the shoulder and gives no rim protection at all.

 

And they cost way more than F1's.

 

As corradoboy said mate, mine are pretty new so cant comment on wear.. however theyre astonishingly good compared to most high performance road tyres

i had a set of these on the old car and really liked them - can't tell you how long they lasted for as i sold the car on but they did wear well.

Currently on F1's and think they are great. My previous tyre was toyo t1-s's and have to say they were crap wearing far too quickly

 

Just my two pence worth, the best tyre around at the moment for the Impreza is the new Pirelli P-Zero Nero.

We have a fantastic performance wheel and tyre specialist in the area and that is what they recommended for my new Speedlines and I have to say they are phenomenal in the wet and dry.

After 2 years use I just took of T1R's they had about 3-4mm left after about 18,000 miles, I thought they were good both in wet and dry certainly good round Oultan park last week.
Nearly went for the same again but thought I would have a change and went for Goodyear F1's, not given them any stick yet so not sure how they compare.

Prices quoted for 215 x 40 x 17 fitted, valve and balanced were
T1R £90
F1 £100

 

go for pirelli p zero nero awsome both wet and dry though not sure how they will last

seeing as I've tried toyo's i reckon i might just give the f1s a go!

managed to get an awesome price on them too! 215/45/17 at £80 a corner!
