Default Puncture Problem

I've just got back from Cyprus and my bro-in-law took my car in to get a puncture looked at, somehow a bolt had found its way into the tyre about 2.5inch from the edge. They're Bridgestone RE040's off my MY05 STi and it's been sent back to the manufacturer for professional repair. I'd have preferred to get two new tyres on the back instead of repairing it.

What are your opinions? Would you trust the repair or get new ones?

Cheers,

mervil
