Brake cooling

Brake cooling
Another thread in Gen Tech not been replied too apologies for duplication.
Did 1st track day yesterday and could only really do 3 laps at a time before my brakes were cooked.
97UK standard size discs i.e. small grooved at the front with Ferodo DS2500 pads.
Is there nything more suitable for track days ?
I know bigger discs will help, but there was an 2006 STi with PPP having the same problems as me.
Are there any other mods which can help with brake cooling ? Ducting etc...
Thanks

Hi Mate,
Best bet is to upgrade the lot to the later spec 4 pots or better still AP four or six pots.
If your budgets tight, your going to have to get some full race pads to cope with the heat, something like Mintex F4R will more than cope with trackdays, the Evo boys can't get enough.
Quite expensive but will usually out live your discs....
Choice is yours.

Some choices:
- get the 335mm Kit at godspeedbrakes.co.uk (you can also get the 4pot subaru brake calipers as I heard)
- get 4pot Brembo calipers from STi V7-9 sure maybe they had also braking problems but remember that your classic has about 150-200kilograms less weight than the newage ones!!
or AP-Racing 6pot or Tarox 6pot! have a look at godspeedbrakes.co.uk or taroxbrakes.de (don't know the UK-dealer for tarox)
- get ferodo/mintex/ebc pads and aftermarket discs (DBA for example)
but get in mind that the 2 pot caliper itself is really really bad.. i've got this ones myself..
the last option you can also use with the first 2 options to get better better brakes
Trust me if you want 1bhp more get better brakes or the impreza would be really dangerous.. (first time i tried what my brakes do.. i almost had an accident.. ) and I've only got a little bit more power that stock..
