i checked my front pads passenger side both had like a metal plate between the pad and the caliper but the drivers side didnt have them.
what are they,where can i get them from and would not having cause an annoying rattling sound? as i have one that seems to be coming from the front drivers side

they are 'anti-rattle' shims.................so yes....................
