Brake pad wear question.
As thread, coming home tonight not hammering car in any way just taking it easy but when using the brakes car just did not feel right at all.
It stopped no problem but it just did not feel right .
So got home into the garage and shone a light through the spoke of the front wheels to examine disc & pad for wear.
Only thing I could notice is that pad thickness is about 4-5mm on both sides ( could only see outer pad behind both wheels ) and the discs have approx 1-2mm lip on them.
So are they about ready to be changed or am I being over cautious .
The car in question is a '03 WRX Impreza and has covered 24k on the same brakes ( I believe ), it has PPP fitted so if they are up for changing I will upgrade to something better, just not sure what yet !.
Over to you guys .
