just had the o/s resprayed after some sadistic git keyed the car from front to back. had the clutch replaced with an OE part and am wondering is it worth upgrading the brakes??? if so, what is a resonably priced option?

its a standard jap wrx MY93 bar a full decat system - i have sometimes found my heart going faster than the car as the car refuses to stop - brake pedal just travels down with little effect on the car! been using engine braking a lot more recently. any help will be appreciated!
