Default Brake disc wear!!

Just had a 20k service on my WR1 and the garage has said that at the 25k service i will need new front pads and discs! does anyone here have an idea how long discs should last surely not wear at the same rate as the pads?
I am assuming the brake set up is the same for the WR1 as it is for 05 sti?

Cheers.

03STi discs worn to 29 mm at 34k (7k Brembo pads barely worn and rest on DS2500 about half worn at end) and inside faces very rusty so binned them. Tried AP strapdrives but couldn't sort run out (available s/h inc DS2500 pads if anyone interested). I think OE discs and pads are about £700 so you're better off going elsewhere, for another £1k you could have AP 6 pots.

My discs wore out at the same rate as my pads - which I found odd too.

But they lasted 66,500miles and I replaced them last weekend with proper Subaru parts - discs and pads - for £215 .....

Pete,

Was that for the 330 mm gold Brembos or 300 mm Subaru items.

Cheers, Diccy.

BODSKI, Sorry I've gone to AP 6 pots which is why I have AP strapdrive discs and DS2500 pads nearly new (200 miles only) for sale. Gold calipers already sold.

Thanks for thinking of me, Cheers, Diccy.
