Is it safe to just replace two tyres, ie the front ones, as the back are ok

I'm worried about the 4x4 and the stories of gear box toruble with different wheel size

From my limited knowledge, it's fine to replace one 'axle' at a time, as long as the ones on the other axle aren't more than half worn..... hopefully that makes sense....

Get yourself a tread depth gauge, only a couple of quid from Halfrauds, most tyres start with about 8mm, when you hit the wear bars you are down to about 1.6mm, the legal limit.
