Hi
My dad will need to get some new rear tyres as his current ones and very near to the min limit. He has Bridgestone Potenza RE050 215/45/17 at the mo all round. He recently brought a pair for the front. Today (this morning) my dad when down to our local tyre/exhaust/mot/ place 'Pan Autos' to check the rears and see what he could relpace them with. They did not have any of the RE050 in stock, so they suggested Firestone. As soon as my dad said that, i said WTF! Firestones might be all right on a normal car, but a high performance WRX (2003 model)...I don't think so. I suggested getting either GY Eagle F1 (is it the GSD3) ot Toyo proxes T1-R. If he was to get one of those makes/models would he have to get a set of four?? or for that matter any other different make/model tyre put on the rear and leave the front as they are Bridgestone Potenza RE050.
Advice needed.

One thing you don't do is mix and match tyres . I currently have Goodyear Eagle F1 ( 4) and they are clearly better than the bridgestone Pots .
Always keep the same make/pattern on all four tyres .
Hope this helps
